Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon
In the original form, the phrase "Shoot for the moon" is figurative, meant to inspire people to pursue ambitious goals, reasoning that even if they fail to achieve them, they may still accomplish other great things while trying. Don’t let your fear stop you from trying to achieving your goals.
We can’t see the destination so we standstill. But we must have a vision (Huffpost, 2017). As self-help author Shiv Khera said, “Have a vision. It is the ability to see the invisible. If you can see the invisible, you can achieve the impossible. (Huffpost, 2017)” Using a vision board can make a tremendous difference (I can hear some of you laughing). A vision board is a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of one's dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation and to use the law of attraction to attain goals. Visualizing our goals and working towards them every day can greatly increase your chances of achieving them. But what most people are scared of is failing.
If you ask any successful person, they will tell you they want to fail. Successful people learn from failure. Among many things, they learn that the goal is to play to win instead of desperately hoping not to lose (Allen, 2018). If you never fail, you will NEVER achieve your dreams. Personally, if I learned something, then I didn’t fail.
So shoot for the stars, shoot higher if you can but don’t place a ceiling on your capabilities because if you do, you already failed. Only the limits of your Imagination can determine how far you go in life.
